‘A Pinch of Pink’ Event raised $240k

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — A little pink went a long way for Breastie Boxes during its third annual “A
Pinch of Pink.” The local nonprofit raised over $240,000 throughout the one-night event.

More than 500 breast cancer survivors and supporters gathered at The Lodge at Camp Red
Cedar on Oct. 9 for a night of community, conversation, reflection and fundraising.

Money raised will go toward providing essential care packages to patients facing a breast
cancer diagnosis. Each box includes locally-sourced, affordable personal care products free of
toxic ingredients and hormone disrupters.

The Breastie Boxes mission continues to resonate with the community as A Pinch of Pink sold
out in one day for the second consecutive year.

“Seeing A Pinch of Pink sell out for another year and raise more than $229,000 is humbling.
This event started as an idea to help patients feel less alone in their breast cancer journey, and
our community has helped to grow it into something so much bigger,” said Erica Hyatt, Founder
and President of Breastie Boxes. “Every ticket purchased, every hand raised and every dollar
donated is a powerful reminder that our compassionate community is willing to ensure no one
fights alone. We are deeply grateful for the generosity and love that made this impact possible.”

Attendees participated in a live auction, bidding on a variety of donated experiences and items,
as well as a wine pull where they chose from a wide selection of wine bottles.

“Bubbles and Bling” was another popular activity during the event. Individuals were encouraged
to purchase a pink capsule containing a unique number and a gem. At the end of the night,
participants got on stage for the grand reveal of the real diamond.

Sponsors for the event included the Diamond Glam Squad, Diskey, Two-EE’s Winery and TJW
Industrial. Food and beverages were provided by Club Soda, ObiCai Restaurant Group, Salsa
Grille, SMPL Kitchen, CASA Ristoranti Italiano, Goeglein’s Catering, Shigs in Pit & Mad Anthony
Catering, Fort Wayne Chocolate Fountain, The Creperie and The Charlie Horse Mobile Bar.
