Breastie Boxes Surpasses Goal at 78th Annual Penny Pitch, Raising Over $140,000

Fort Wayne, IN – December 4-5, 2025 – Breastie Boxes Organization of Fort Wayne is thrilled to announce a record-breaking result from the 78th Annual Penny Pitch, hosted by WOWO News/Talk 92.3 FM & 1190 AM. This year’s Penny Pitch not only met but surpassed expectations, raising a total of $140,692, exceeding the original goal by a remarkable margin.

Friday morning, donations had already reached $37,000, and by 9 a.m., the community had propelled the total past $106,000—an unprecedented achievement in the event’s history. By the end of the day, the fundraising effort secured enough funding to provide every Breastie Box in 2026.

“These aren’t just care packages…they’re lifelines,” said Erica Hyatt, Founder. “Each box is filled with items that bring comfort to women fighting breast cancer. The generosity, heart, and belief of our community in lifting others up will touch countless lives.”

Breastie Boxes extends heartfelt thanks to WOWO staff—Kayla Blakeslee, Casey, JZ, and Josh—for their dedication and energy, as well as to volunteers who contributed their time from early morning to evening. Additional support came through community initiatives like Dine and Donates with Salvatori, Fill Up Friday with All American Gas Stations, and Christmas on Broadway, all of which helped amplify the fundraising efforts.

The success of this Penny Pitch reflects both the continued growth of Breastie Boxes’ mission and the increasing need for support, as breast cancer impacts more lives each year. Through the generosity of the Fort Wayne community, Breastie Boxes is able to continue its mission of providing comfort, hope, and care to individuals affected by breast cancer.

“Breast cancer is the worst, but the people I’ve met along the way are the absolute best,” said Erica Hyatt, Founder. “From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who showed up, gave hope, and made a difference. This was truly the BREAST day ever.”
